[Election-software] Welcome to the election-software mailing list!

Hi folks, If you are reading this email message, you're probably reading the archive for the list. As of this writing, I'm the only member. I'm planning on announcing this mailing list in other forums eventually. This mailing list is going to be specifically about software related to elections. This can be everything from the user interface presented to voters through the counting of the ballots all of the way through to the random mechanism used to break ties. Debating the merits of various election methods should be left to the election-methods mailing list ( https://electorama.com/em ) or various other forums where the merits of IRV vs STAR vs Approval vs Condorcet methods are discussed. Code of conduct (for now) is going to be the same as for the election-methods mailing list. I'll describe all of this later. Anyway, I look forward to discussing election software with you! Rob
